The 6 day racewalking website has been created and is maintained by Richard McChesney. Richard’s first six-day walking race was in the 2016 edition of the 6 Jours de France. He is the current New Zealand record holder as well as the World M55-59 record holder.
While developing the website Richard has received feedback and information about other athlete’s results from many people – over half of the results included in the first version of this website in June 2025 are based on data compiled by Emmanuel Tardi.
When creating this website, we decided to recognise all six-day racewalking performances whether they are in judged races or not. On the races and rankings pages we have noted for each result listed whether the race was Judged, Not Judged, or Unknown (we don’t know whether the race/result was judged).
If we are notified that any result listed may not have been accomplished 100% by walking we will remove the result until we can verify whether or not the athlete was walking the entire race.
All information listed on this website is available on, or derived from, other publicly available websites. All distances listed are in kilometres.
We welcome your feedback. If you identify any errors or omissions, or would like to provide feedback or improvement suggestions for this website, please click here.
And if you would like to be notified when we add updated – new results, new features, etc – please join our mailing list. We won’t email you more than once a month, and only when we have added to the website.
A note regarding athletes with multiple nationalities:
Different sports and different countries have different rules about recognition of national records for athletes with dual or multiple nationalities. In the Athletes page you will find a note if the athlete has multiple nationalities and where an athlete has changed, added or revoked a nationality during their six-day racewalking career, they will have multiple listings in the Athletes page.
On this page, we recognise records based on any nationality that the athlete held at the time they competed. For example, Ivo Majetic has held both Czech and US citizenship (nationality) for all of his six-day racewalking career meaning that in any race he competes in we recognise him as being both a Czech and US citizen and therefore, both his national and age group records are recognised for both countries from the same races.
